Table Talk: Spring!
Easter Vibes
A spring table brings me infinite joy.
Our dogwoods bloomed last week, and sadly the incredible wind storm brought one down…
Alas, it’s a gift to have the salvaged branches as the centerpiece (in every room, on every surface) for now.
We hosted a very impromptu Easter last year –
I think my family had plans to go to the beach, and for some reason I can’t recall, there was a pivot. A boon for someone who collects china with few occasions to break it out. This set in particular is a match to my mother in law’s - an auction win that I was exceptionally excited about, and remain very proud of.
(The auction house is Akiba, which I follow on Live Auctioneers.)
Here’s a similarly sweet little set if you have a smaller guest count.
We had only been in our house for a minute or two, so needless to say, we kept things easy.
We kept it infinitely basic with the menu. Accidental Baker and Suarez for GF goodies and bunny treats – bagels, lox, eggs, bacon, a peppery arugula salad with thinly shaved parm and lemon, fruit and yogurt.
Spring flowers don’t have to be revolutionary. Trader Joe’s tulips or branches from your yard are fabulously simple.
And fun for the baskets, or the kids table!
Disposable! Beautiful!
I don’t ever feel like the hassle of dying real eggs – I go with the wooden ones from Michaels instead. It’s also fun to paint these, or these.
This year, I’m doing relatively random baskets.
A fresh suit for each + a book?
And for us all? This Oso play quilt is as sweet as they come. This is my favorite accessory for the days we want to plop in the yard or park. Serving dinner as a picnic is such an easy parenting win.
For the attire -
Fun Holiday Table Mash Up:
Classic for the obvious purposes, but also candy, flowers, votives, celery, mint, + bloody bar accoutrements.
Would be a sweet collectible gift for a godchild, etc.
Everyone needs a good champagne bucket. Insert a flower frog in the bottom for a massive tulip display.
Easy way to display glassware or serve snacks.

Anthro Egg Platter Is this cheesy? Absolutely. Do you need it? Maybe.

What’s your table plan?
